- Black & White photo of the Buena Vista (also known as Rockville or Freestone) post office building. The first post office near Buena Vista was opened in 1848, the year after U.S. forces defeated Santa Anna in the Battle of Buena Vista in northeast Mexico. In 1960, the post office closed and the mail was processed through Stout.
