Description

Black and white photo negative on Chillicothe Street showing the Old Stone Post Office at the corner of Gallia and Chillicothe and the Sixth (6th) Street Methodist Church at the corner of Sixth (6th) and Chillicothe. The Post Office was built in 1891, expanded in 1914, closed in 1936, and razed in 1956 for the construction of a five story Montgomery-Ward Department Store. The Sixth (6th) Street Methodist church building was razed in 1928 for the construction of the Masonic Temple.
