- Black leather ladies shoes made by Selby Shoe Company in Portsmouth, Ohio. This pump has three button fasteners and a 1.5 inch heel. "Arch Preserver, Selby, Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." is embossed on the sole. Inside the shoe are numbers: 37 - 2 and G92841. It appears to be about a size 6-7.

The 1929 Portsmouth City Directory lists five shoe manufacturers including the Selby Shoe Company at "7th from Findlay to John." They had four phone numbers: 1100-1101-1102-1103. The president was Roger A. Selby(1885-1973) and the first vice president and purchasing agent was Homer C. Selby(1880-1959). - Creator
