Colorized image of the corner of Government Square (the Gallia Street Esplanade.) At the forefront is the Kricker Building or city building facing Gallia Street. Built by George Kricker in 1893, it held a bank, grocery, Portsmouth City Offices, jeweler, business college on the third floor, and various other businesses.
